Mmm... Pasta and meat sauce. This is just the comfort food you need to fill your belly now that it's getting cold and assignments are piling up. Serve this meaty tomato based sauce over your favourite noodles!

Gather the Goods:


  1. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  2. 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  3. 2 garlic cloves, minced
  4. 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  5. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  6. 1 1/2 pounds ground beef

The Prep:

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Add onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook until soft (3-5 minutes). Add beef, breaking up with a spoon and cook until no longer pink (4-5 minutes). Add tomato paste and cook 1 to 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and juice, breaking up tomatoes. Simmer over medium heat until thickened and saucy, 45 to 60 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Hi Friends! Welcome back to the blog. Is there anything more Fall than pumpkin? It really gets me in the mood to jump in a pile of leaves and wear giant sweater while sipping on hot coco! Today I’m sharing a really simple recipe for Pumpkin Peanut Butter Waffles. These waffles are gluten-free, vegan and full of flavor.

    The Prep:

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Rub chicken breasts with olive oil and sprinkle both sides with salt and seasoning (if desired). Place chicken in a pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Flip chicken and cook about 15 minutes more (until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear).

    Gather the Goods:


    1. 1 3/4 cups diced tomato (about 1 large tomato)
    2. 1/4 cup diced white onion (about 1/2 an onion)
    3. 1 finely chopped fresh jalapeno chile (seeded for a milder salsa)
    4. 1 teaspoon coarse salt

    The Prep:

    Stir ingredients together. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving to let the flavours come out for a fiesta in your mouth.

    Eat this with tortilla chips or throw it on some eggs to add a little life to your morning!
